According to the assessment of the Da Nang Statistical Office, accommodation and catering services in the city in July and the first 7 months of 2025 continued to maintain impressive growth momentum, reflecting the strong resilience of the Da Nang tourism industry after the merger.

Resonance of tourism resources and infrastructure
In recent years, both Da Nang city (old) and Quang Nam province have been leading destinations in attracting tourists, thanks to their possession of many unique tourism products. Since July 1, the administrative merger between the two localities to become Da Nang city (new) has opened up a new space for socio-economic development in the direction of sustainable integration, especially in tourism, one of the fields with great potential for development.
Da Nang was previously known for its modern, dynamic tourism, possessing a developed tourism infrastructure with an international airport, luxury resorts, and a system of high-class hotels. This place attracts tourists with sea tourism products, MICE tourism (conferences, seminars) and modern entertainment areas such as Sun World, Ba Na Hills.
Meanwhile, with its cultural and historical tourism characteristics, Quang Nam is a “heritage land” with two UNESCO-recognized World Cultural Heritages, Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary, along with eco-tourism areas, traditional craft villages and unique indigenous cultures.
After the merger, Da Nang city has become one of the localities possessing a diverse and rich tourism resource system. With a coastline stretching from Hai Van to Ky Ha with famous beach chains such as My Khe, An Bang, Cua Dai…, along with the presence of islands and peninsulas Cu Lao Cham, Son Tra, creating conditions for the continuous and attractive development of sea tourism products. In addition, Da Nang also plays a central role in connecting the natural cultural heritages of the Central region. In the area, there are currently 3 heritages recognized by UNESCO, including 2 World Cultural Heritages: Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Temple Complex and Ma Nhai Ngu Hanh Son Documentary Heritage.

The tourism resonance between the two localities helps tourists have a complete journey, combining modernity and antiquity. One place is a symbol of a modern urban area with synchronous infrastructure, high-class resort and entertainment complexes and the ability to organize large-scale events. The other place stands out with its depth of cultural heritage and life imbued with the identity of the countryside. The harmonious combination of modernity and indigenousness is the foundation for forming new and diverse tourism products, flexibly adapting to market demand, effectively serving many groups of tourists.
Thereby, Da Nang’s tourism infrastructure has been expanded synchronously in both scale and quality. After the merger, the whole city currently has more than 2,200 accommodation establishments with nearly 65,000 rooms; of which about 140 accommodation establishments meet 4 to 5 star standards, providing more than 27,500 luxury rooms. The network of accommodation and tourism services has developed in a diversified direction from coastal resorts, international golf courses, mineral spring resorts in Hoi An, Nam Hoi An and Thang Binh to community homestay models in ecological villages, high-end resort villas along the coast. This not only expands the capacity to welcome guests, but also enhances the capacity to serve many market segments from community tourism to high-end resorts.
The synergy of tourism resources and infrastructure of the two localities not only maximizes tourism potential, but also builds a strong tourism brand, attracting domestic and foreign tourists to explore, creating momentum for the city’s tourism to continue to grow strongly.
