During the recent 2025 International Fireworks Festival, rooms were always 100% full,” said Ms. Lien.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Nguyen, Operations Director of Moire Hoi An Hotel, said that international guests accounted for about 80%, mainly from Australia, the UK, the US, South Korea, and Taiwan (China). Stimulus programs and good service quality make guests want to come back. The green tourism model also leaves a strong impression on international tourists.

Effectiveness from implementing synchronous solutions

According to Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, one of the important factors that helps promote the number of international visitors, especially from distant markets such as Europe, North America, Australia… is the favorable visa policy.

The Government’s implementation of a visa exemption policy for a number of countries from Asia, Europe and the ASEAN region from 15 to 45 days, applying a flexible e-visa system for citizens of more than 150 countries and territories as well as extending the stay with e-visa from 30 days to 90 days and allowing multiple entries during the validity period, creates favorable conditions for international visitors to stay longer.

In addition, Da Nang organizes many major events such as the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival, Da Nang International Fireworks Festival DIFF 2025, Enjoy Danang Festival 2025.

The DIFF 2025 event alone (from May 31 to July 12, 2025) attracted more than 1.88 million visitors (an increase of 26% compared to the International Fireworks Festival in 2024).

Especially on the final night of the event, the overall room occupancy rate in the whole city reached the highest level in 3 consecutive years since the DIFF 2023 season (95-97%).

Tourism communication and promotion work is focused on, implemented on multiple channels both online and in person, oriented towards key markets with many attractive forms.

In particular, focusing on communicating the image of the new Da Nang destination; about Da Nang tourism awards such as: Hoi An ranked 6th in the top 25 most beautiful cities in the world in 2025 – World’s Best Awards 2025 by Travel Leisure magazine; Hoi An and Cu Lao Cham: the world’s top tourist destinations that say no to plastic waste with the communication message: New Da Nang – New Experience (New Da Nang – New Experience).

Currently, Da Nang has 21 international routes (17 regular and 4 charter flights) with an average frequency of 51 flights/day and 8 domestic routes with an average frequency of 51 flights/day.

It is expected that in the last months of the year, Da Nang will have 21,200 flights, with a frequency of 117-120 flights/day with about 3.35 million passengers.

The work of ensuring security, safety, environmental sanitation, food hygiene and safety, and preventing stalking and soliciting tourists has been seriously implemented by the industry. In particular, rescue work at tourist beaches, assisting tourists in finding lost items, assisting in catching thieves who steal things from locals and tourists… have become bright spots, contributing to spreading the beautiful image of a friendly and affectionate city.

From the project “Swiss Tourism for Sustainable Development in Vietnam” for the period 2024 – 2027, the tourism industry has proposed a direction for green tourism development; consulted on adjustments and drafted an additional set of green tourism criteria applicable to the food service sector.

The city’s green tourism models are gradually shaping and developing their brands, contributing to changing the awareness of people and tourists to be conscious and responsible for preserving the potential tourism values at the destination, while also contributing to widely promoting the green tourism image of the city.

The city’s tourism industry continues to implement synchronous solutions to attract visitors; organize many events such as: announcing the plan to stimulate tourism in Da Nang in the last 6 months of 2025; drafting the plan for the Da Nang International Lantern Festival 2025; Plan to Welcome Christmas – Welcome New Year in Da Nang 2026.

The industry coordinates with the Department of International Cooperation to participate in promoting Da Nang tourism at the Vietnam Tourism and Culture Promotion Festival in Korea 2025; preside over and coordinate with the Department of Tourism of Hue City, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri Province to prepare booths to promote tourism of 3 localities at the ITE Ho Chi Minh City Fair 2025; coordinate with the Department of Tourism of Hue City to prepare for the organization of a program to introduce tourism in Central Vietnam in Malaysia and Indonesia…

“The city continues to implement many solutions to improve service quality, develop tourism products, promote communications and organize events to attract visitors to the city. Focus on exploiting the strengths of Da Nang City (old) and Quang Nam Province (old) to form a comprehensive tourism ecosystem, diversifying experiences for domestic and foreign tourists,” Ms. Hanh added.
